10th March 2021

Dear Members,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce today that Joel Gosden will be stepping down as Football Chairman for Kincumber Roos FC effective immediately to further pursue his teaching career in country NSW.

After joining Kincumber Roos at 4 years of age, Joel has been involved with our Club for 29 years, spending 14 of those years playing Grade level football.  For the past 2.5 years whilst being part of the Executive Committee, Joel has been instrumental in driving a positive culture within Kincumber Roos which has been felt across the entire club, including the famous DJ Joel vibe down at Frost Reserve and his ever present warm and welcoming attitude.

We wish Joel the best of luck in his new adventure teaching in the country, the kids are incredibly lucky to have you. Joel will still be dropping in to say "Hi" on the loudspeaker every 5 weeks and hopes to be back permanently at Kincumber Roos in 3 years’ time.

Following this, we are pleased to announce that Jack Day has been appointed by the Executive Committee as the 2021 Football Chairman. Jack is well equipped to fulfil the requirements of the position and to assist the Club to continue to build in the future. Jack has been a long-standing member of Kincumber Roos Football Club and has been playing with the Club for 25 years, coached for the past 7 years, and currently holds the position of Cadet Co-Ordinator on the Committee which he will continue to fulfil whilst simultaneously stepping up to Football Chairman.

We wish Joel the best of luck for the future and extend a warm welcome to Jack joining the Executive Committee.

Yours in football,

Scott, Mel, Tori and Russell
